CTMC Hospice Care, a non-profit organization, is a department of Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos, Texas. We care for terminally
ill patients who have less than 6 months to live. CTMC Hospice Care recognizes death as the final stage of
life and is devoted to serving patients and families through compassionate, supportive, holistic care, with respect for their
dignity and individuality, seeking to enhance all of their life.
Central Texas Medical Center is a full-service hospital. We believe that healing truly involves more than just the body and our medical capabilities.

What
is hospice? Hospice is a special way of caring for people with terminal illness and their families. This care
includes physical care, spiritual care and counseling. The goals of hospice are to ensure comfort, peace and dignity in the
last chapter of your life and to assist your bereaved family in their grieving process.
How is someone
referred to CTMC Hospice Care? You, your family member, your doctor, a nursing home, hospital or home health
agency can refer to us.
Who is eligible for hospice care? You are eligible for hospice if
your doctor and the hospice medical director certify you have a life-limiting illness and that to the best of their knowledge
you probably have less than six months to live.
CTMC Hospice Care serves: Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe,
Gonzalez, Blanco, Travis and Comal counties.
